With only 5 weeks until the 2010 Street of Dreams opens to the public, builders, designers and landscapers are scrambling to meet deadlines and keep a fast-paced momentum in order to be finished on time!  Here we’ll take a look at the journey that ends in a completed home on the Street of Dreams.  We invite you to follow our blog and check out our Facebook page to get the latest updates.

Kris Patton, ASID is serving as the lead contact for this year’s Street of Dreams project.  Interiors Joan and Associates has partnered with Pohlad Custom Homes, Inc. to produce this interpretation of the restored modern home.

For months Kris has been working with the builder to enhance the home’s floor plan.  Every inch of the home is carefully considered so that each space makes the most of the square footage available.  This charming home is rich in architectural detail and features many custom components that add to the character and aesthetic appeal.  Once Kris determines a general “look” and color palette for the home, each designer in the firm is assigned to a space and develops the design plan for that particular room.  The specifications and selections are then given to Kris, who makes sure that each space compliments the other to create an overall cohesive design for the entire home.

Currently, the home is right on track for completion, as the finish on the woodwork is nearing finalization.  Check out the photos below to see the Street of Dreams home’s progress……..

Exterior Front Elevation

The front landscaping features unique rock slabs that form a walkway.

The dining room will feature this unique wood and leather grid design.  When completed, it will be a dramatic architectural detail.

Progress on the hearth room trusses is slow but steady!  Check out the rich finish and the custom detailing!
